i reeeally, really like vicky wright's 'guardian' series. using oil on board, she's created an almost crystal-like organic form that progresses out from its modest canvas. heavily influenced by her family's involvement in coal mining, it deals with the de-stabilization of the human figure and the economic demise of the industry.
